With such an extensive wish list, audacious goals and ambitions, after nearly 12 months of extensive collaboration, research and development, many rounds of trials with our partnership tube manufacturer, Grant Fidelity have finally completed the customized production of OUR VERY OWN GF-Select (Grant Fidelity Private Label Special Limited Edition) WE300B/SE tubes, which are designed to paired with worldwide flagship quality Single-Ended tube amps which may use 300B as either output stage, or driver stage in front of high voltage output 845/211/805 tubes. Our GF-Select WE300B/SE also suits very well in exotic design 300B pre-amplifiers or power supplies.

What is special about the ‘Special Edition’ GF-Select WE300B/SE?

• The design takes in the ‘best of both worlds’ from [Linlai™ Global] flagship Elite E-300B and the legendary holy grail Western Electric Replica 300B – a hybrid design that outshines either of its roots.
• Enhanced high & low frequency extension, on top of the legendary midrange lushness of vintage Western Electric 300B tubes. GF-Select WE300B/SE shines with string instruments reproduction with sweet silky non-harsh high’s, plus body-felt low frequency dives (note: to truly experience the full potential of WE300B/SE tubes, property matching of amplifier output power with adequate speakers sensitivity is a MUST. A 8-9 Watts SET amp should match with speaker sensitivity of 93dB minimum, and preferrable 95dB and up. An example of such speakers are PureAudioProject open baffle speakers with 15 inch super fast papercone woofers, or vintage box speakers such as Klipsch brand)
• Enhanced plate design with nano technology coating to provide stable and strong emission, which equate to long reliable tube life, with no overheating spots.
• Dual getters (rather than single getter in original WE300B) to swiftly absorb unwanted escaped gas with tube aging, enable a longer tube useful life.
• Fingerprint smudge-free black coating metal tube base to keep your tubes look forever like new. No shiny or oxidized tube base to cause visual mismatch or distraction from your amplifier’s design color scheme (works well with any tube amp color tone – silver, black or colored chassis)
• 2 large + 2 small GOLD coated tube pins to minimize oxidization and provide improved contact with tube sockets
• Average 15% heavier glass enclosure than vintage WE300B for less vibration transfer to tube internal structure, creating a reduced tube floor noise level

Note: We opted for NO print on the tube glass enclosure for the GF-Select WE300B/SE tube. Instead, EVERY tube has been installed with a metal tag inside the tube, engraved with ‘GF-Select’ along with an unique serial number. It will give users a ‘cleaner look’ for the tube glow, no more mis-aligned logo directions in certain amplifier brand(s), no more color-faded logo from tube heat. The serial number tag differentiates our ‘Special Edition (SE)’ tubes from any counterfeit / knock-off’s on the market, and allows us to track down any backdoor supplies of questionable quality or production seconds / rejects through 3rd parties.

Shipping: 

This product can be shipped from domestic USA warehouse in Michigan for our USA customers without duty/tariffs. Rest of the world orders will be shipped from Grant Fidelity facility in Canada.

GF-Select Special Edition Quality Control: 

In order to ensure this Special Edition GF-Select tubes to be of the best possible quality, we implement VERY STRICT screening of all finished production tubes in order not to compromise on final quality. All Grant Fidelity screening efforts have resulted this WE300B/SE to be a limited edition for worldwide audiophiles who demand the very best quality.

Two quality grades available for tiered pricing:

#1) Top 10% ‘Best Grade’ GF-Select WE300B/SE has measured 90% to 110% of full emission for the best possible overall electronic measurements, expected superior sonic performance and they are offered at a premium price.

#2) GF-Select ‘Quality Grade’ WE300B/SE has measured minimum 75% up to 89%, or 111% to 120% of full emission. As 300B operation voltage is relative gentle to tubes, the slightly varied emission from our ‘best grade’ will not cause major changes of tube useful life. Our decades of dealing with 300B tubes show that tube factories supplies to the open market tend to have 300B tube emission starting from 55-60% zig zag up to 125-130% as QC Pass. We have raised the floor benchmark significantly to 75% minimum, controlled the maximum up to 120%. The ‘Quality Grade’ price is set to be lower than the ‘Best Grade’ by 15% to reflect their measured emission variations.

IMPORTANT: If you have a 300B tube amp with ‘auto shut off’ feature, the high emission range from 111% to 120% should be avoided. The amp can mistake the high emission as a false short and power off the amp automatically. A manual bias or auto bias amp without ‘auto shut off’ feature can usually use the high emission tube without problem, as the amp circuit components typically have wider tolerance range than the tube variation range. Please let us know when you order the Quality Grade WE300B/SE but your amp has ‘auto shut off’ feature – we will send you the 75%-89% emission range instead without triggering a false shut off.

All warranty for the WE300B/SE is carried by Grant Fidelity from Canada with high level of integrity. Please purchase with absolute confidence.

• All GF-Select WE300B/SE tubes have a full 12-month of ‘no sudden death’ warranty (i.e. no suddenly tube no longer lights up while all parts of tube appear intact and no physical damages, or have air leakage causing the shining coating inside tubes to turn white)
• We opt not to do a 5-year warranty, because our past 20 years of tube selling experience shows that audiophiles may trade equipment / tubes for new varieties and new experiences after owning them for sometime. Once a 300B tube lasts over the first 12 months, it’s statistically highly likely to last to its full useful tube life. Our controlled selection of high benchmark tube emission parameter has taken care of the tube useful life in the sense of science and engineering. 5-year warranty is great for marketing but we opt to stick to science in this aspect, not adding on overall costs to customers.
